This unit focuses on understanding and applying workplace expectations within the hair and beauty industry. Learners demonstrate knowledge of industry codes of ethics and health and safety reporting requirements, and apply these in a real or realistic workplace environment.
Practical requirements are completed over five consecutive scheduled workdays, where learners must present themselves to industry standards, behave professionally, and meet cultural, safety, and personal practice requirements. Learners apply workplace procedures, assist with salon services, contribute to daily workflow, and support a stylist as part of a professional team.
